On February 15, 2024, State Police in Lowville arrested 24-year-old Dylan C. Hoch Sr. of Glenfield, NY for Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child (A-2 felony) and Endangering The Welfare of a Child (A-misdemeanor). Mr. Hoch is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse on 10 occasions over the course of two years, with a female child, who was between the ages of 10 and 12 at the time of the incidents. Hoch was arraigned in Lewis County CAP court and remanded to the Lewis County Public Safety Building in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

Jason J. Eaton, 48, was a full-time sales assistant for CUSO Financial Services in Williston, Vt., according to his LinkedIn account. He was terminated on Nov. 8 after working there for less than a year, said Elisabeth Rutledge, a company spokeswoman. From 2017 to 2022, he worked as a leader for a Cub Scout troop, according to his LinkedIn page.
